I made Red blood-splattered Spooky Haunted macarons for the Halloween Trreat. Felt like Dexter making these. I could easily kill a dozen of these in a night. eheheheh

Fuel up your day with this zesty, fresh and aromatic lemon pond cake! 🍋🍋
I really need such kinda energy today. 💛
It's moist and buttery, and the lemon icing on the top DEFINITELY isn't optional. It gives the cake the most amazing tangy kick plus it looks absolutely gorgeous 😍
Recipe Ingredients:
225g unsalted butter, softened
225d sugar
4 eggs, room temperature
225g self raising flour
Zest of one big lemon

Lemon syrup:
50g icing sugar
50ml lemon juice

Lemon Icing:
250g icing sugar
1tbsp lemon juice
1tpsb milk.

Baking pan size: 9x5"
Bake at 160C 45-55 min- until a toothpick comes out clean.

Because every cake has a story to tell.
This was my birthday cake that I made myself and I got paid for this cake lol. Surprised!
My sweet husband humbly requested me to bake my own birthday cake and I charged him for this cake lavishly. 😆
It was a simple plain vanilla sponge cake, very light and airy sponge frosted with fresh whipped cream and decorated with fresh strawberries.
